Devs and AppSec Pros Disagree on Security Risk

Recent surveys of developers and application security (AppSec) professionals showed widely differing perceptions in how these groups view application security risk and organizational support.

Lawrence Hecht reports that 48 percent of developers believe their organization is actively working to help developers and security teams work together, whereas 32 percent of AppSec pros believe the same. And, 57 percent of application security specialists say that code is frequently published with known vulnerabilities, compared to 27 percent of developers.
