EU Commission Targets Voice Assistants in Antitrust Inquiry

Voice assistants such as Apple’s Siri and Amazon’s Alexa are at the center of a new antitrust inquiry launched by the EU, prompted by concerns of restricting access and limiting choices for consumers.

“Once big companies use their power, they can very, very quickly push markets beyond the tipping point where competition turns into monopoly,” said Margrethe Vestager, EU Commissioner for Competition.
