- Register between September 26 and October 31.
- Pull requests can be made in any GitHub or GitLab hosted project that’s participating in Hacktoberfest.
- Have four pull/merge requests accepted between October 1 and October 31 to complete the Hacktoberfest challenge.
Hacktoberfest is aimed at beginners and experienced participants alike and, according to the website, is all about giving back to open source projects, sharpening your development skills, and celebrating all things open source.
