Microsoft has announced the general availability of Linux GUI application support in the Windows Subsystem for Linux 2, which allows users to run Linux tools, utilities and apps without dual booting.
The feature is called WSLg (short for Windows Subsystem for Linux GUI) and will be generally available with the upcoming release of Windows 10.
