Yahoo!Finance has ranked the largest open source software contributors, based on the number of active GitHub contributors. The survey included contributions from employees with official corporate email addresses, explains Ramish Cheema.
The top 5 companies, in terms of active GitHub contributors, are:
- Microsoft — 5,708 active contributors
- Alphabet — 5,182
- Red Hat — 3,334
- IBM — 2,259
- Intel — 2,048
