Get Started with Windows Subsystem for Linux

The Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) offers an easy way to run Linux apps on a Windows PC without having to dual boot, explains Brien Posey.  “It’s an abstraction layer that allows Windows users to install a Linux build on top of Windows.”

WSL also supports multiple Linux distributions, including Ubuntu, OpenSUSE, Kali, Arch Linux, and Debian.
