GitHub has announced the launch of sponsors-only repositories, which are private repositories that only sponsors can access.
This move builds on the company’s existing sponsorship policy that allows people to make direct financial contributions to open source developers. “Developers and organizations with GitHub Sponsors enabled will now be able to attach a private repository to each of their sponsorship tiers,” GitHub states.
