Home Routers Riddled with Security Flaws

Germany's Fraunhofer Institute for Communication (FKIE) found widespread security vulnerabilities in a recent study of more than a hundred home routers from seven different brands (including ASUS, Netgear, D-Link, and Linksys).

Although about 90% of the routers studied use Linux, manufacturers were not applying the available fixes, and many routers were affected by hundreds of known vulnerabilities.
