The Amundsen data discovery project has joined the LF AI as an incubation project.
Amundsen is a data discovery and metadata engine aiming to improve the productivity of data analysts, data scientists and engineers by indexing data resources. “Think of it as Google search for data,” the LF AI announcement said.
Amundsen is published under the Apache License, Version 2.0 and its user community includes Lyft, ING, Square, iRobot, and Asana.
Ibrahim Haddad, Executive Director of LF AI, said: “We are very excited to welcome Amundsen to LF AI and help it thrive in a neutral, vendor-free environment under an open governance model.”
LF AI has also released an updated version of its interactive AI landscape, which visually depicts the open source projects involved in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning.
