Linux Mint 20.1 “Ulyssa” Cinnamon Edition Released

Linux Mint 20.1 “Ulyssa” Cinnamon Edition has been officially released. This is a long-term support (LTS) release, which means it will be supported until 2025. 

According to the announcement from the Linux Mint team, the latest version includes updated software along with refinements and new changes “to make your desktop even more comfortable to use.”  

The new Cinnamon edition features the latest Cinnamon 4.8 desktop environment, which also includes updates, such as the “Add to Favorites” option for bookmarking frequently accessed files.

Other features to note are the new Web App manager, which lets you turn any website into a desktop application, and Hypnotix, an IPTV player that supports live TV. You can learn more about what’s new from the Linux Mint site.
