Major Improvements for Linux Gaming Underway

At the recent Open Source Summit Europe, Collabora engineer Gabriel Krisman Bertazi talked about work being done to improve support for Windows games on Linux with Steam Play.

A big missing piece of the puzzle is support for anti-cheat mechanisms, which causes many Windows games to fail to load on Linux, reports Mayank Sharma at TechRadar. The work in this regard is expected to make its way into Linux kernel 5.11.
