Microsoft Releases Python in Excel

Microsoft has released the public preview of Python in Excel, which allows users to “natively combine Python and Excel analytics within the same workbook.”

With the new Python in Excel capabilities, “you can type Python directly into a cell, the Python calculations run in the Microsoft Cloud, and your results are returned to the worksheet,” the announcement says.

Aimed at data analysts, Python in Excel is integrated directly into the Excel grid and enables tasks such as: advanced visualizations, machine learning, predictive analytics, forecasting, and data cleaning.
